Frosted Cakery started as a home based bakery in June of 2014 but Kimberly began baking many years before then. As a military wife living in Hawaii, she began decorating cakes for friends and family for fun but also to help pass the time during her husband’s many deployments. Her reputation quickly grew among her friends and requests for her cakes began to grow throughout the military community.
In 2009, the Marine Corps moved Kimberly and her husband and four children to Virginia where her business continued to grow. Their next military move came in 2013 to beautiful Swansboro, NC where you guessed it, word got out that Kimberly was in town, and orders started coming in quicker then she could get unpacked!
Kimberly partnered with a cake decorating friend and started Frosted Cakery out of their licensed kitchens and set up booths at local markets, and festivals and took custom orders online. Demands were high and by November of 2014 Frosted Cakery had its own storefront!
In early 2016 Kimberly became the sole owner of Frosted Cakery and continued to focus on quality cakes and cupcakes for their wonderful community.
With a great team of employees working beside her, Kimberly and #teamfrosted have fresh baked cupcakes, cookies, cakes, and a great variety of sweets available for their loyal and loving customers each day they are open. These items include gluten free options daily, gluten free cupcakes every Friday & Saturday, biscotti, brownies, bars, and they are “rolling out” new delicious items every week!
